Jessica received her B.S. in Wildlife Fish and Conservation Biology from UC Davis in 2018. There she worked in an aquatic toxicology laboratory and a larval fish ecology lab. Throughout her time at UC Davis, she participated in Suisun Marsh fish surveying, and fell in love with aquatic organisms and being covered in marsh mud. After graduating she studied invasive clam ecology in Suisun Marsh for two and half years, focusing on the environmental factors that facilitate their distribution. Currently, she is pursuing her M.S. at SDSU and is interested in researching land-based, multi-trophic aquaculture systems.
